Leo No Longer Looks Twelve

When Titanic came out I like every other woman on the planet went to see it. The movie was fantastic and I enjoyed it all- the spectacle, the romance, the pathos. I did not, however, think that Leonardo Di Caprio was a good choice as the love interest. He looked twelve. Not just because I am ten years older. He just had a baby face.  I continued to belive this with every movie I watched him in up until The Departed. Oh baby! That baby became a Man. It just seemed to me all of a sudden that Leo got some meat on his bones and his face finally caught up with his age. This is not a bad thing for a man. For a woman refer to the Desperate Housewives/ Real Housewives crowd and you be the judge. I loved every minute of him on screen and now have a new incentive to watch his movies ( you gotta admit he has made more good choices than bad ).
Inception is next on the list of must see and can't hardly wait!

Almost A New Year

It's almost a new year and everything in my life has changed dramatically. I live in a new town, I have new friends, I have a new to me car and I will be attending a new school to work on a new degree. As far as the degree goes, I don't mean I have one now and am acquiring a new one. I'm just changing majors from unbankable liberal arts to practical business admin. When the New Year approaches most people resolve to make changes in their life. I'm going to do the opposite and actually resolve to keep something unchanged.

2009 has been a rollercoaster of a year and I will welcome just having something, anything not change at all. Now that doesn't mean I don't want new things in my life. A new job is at the top of the list since the last three companies I worked for had to let go of their full time employees of which I was one. Just in case you are wondering unemployment checks suck and anyone who claims that people want to stay on unemployment and have an income one third of what they are used to need to go through this experience themselves before passing judgement. It is not a joy ride.
